Powder days again

With what seems like perfect timing the freezing point has dropped and snow is falling throughout the Valley giving us a last weekend of powder days!

For the last few years now this seems to always happen. Just as you think the season is over, the pistes are melting and spring is well on it’s way with birds in the trees and flowers pushing through fresh green grass, the weather turns cold and a big dump of powder re-invigorates us for the last week of the season.

It’s been snowing most of the night and all the morning down to around 600m, which means that St Gervais is once again drapped with snow and it’s looking like the ski season again. The conditions up at Les Contamine are wonderfull, with at least 20cm of fresh snow over a slighty icey base. So for any of you lucky (or brave) enough to have booked the last week of the season it looks like you will be rewarded with good snow, and a forcast of blue skies .

Although it’s too late for the bare pistes there are still enough pistes with a base at St Gervais and Megeve for this snow to realy help keep things skiable for the last week. Great news after a 4 weeks of wet hot weather.
